Sunday Arts: The Lost Broadhursts
Australian wallpaper artist Florence Broadhurst claimed to have created about 800 designs in the 1960s and '70s but only 530 remain in the Broadhurst archive, licensed to Signature Prints, which has since seen them turned into fabrics.
This follows journalist Helen O'Neill, author of Florence Broadhurst: Her Secret And Extraordinary Lives, and her recent discovery of several of Broadhurst's "lost" designs. This doesn't explain why the Broadhursts went missing in the first place but it makes for an intriguing story.
